有消息源向透露，一些NBA球队管理层在选秀前已经向中国方面寻问杨瀚森的情况，包括他的年龄，以及青岛俱乐部的态度，是否会要求高额的买断费等，这在周琦去NBA前，是不曾有过的“待遇”。

一名中国资深的经纪人透露，杨瀚森这次选秀之旅还是被看好的，有望在二轮中上游签被选中，他认为，不会有NBA球队用一轮签选中杨瀚森，给他一份保障性合同。
